Hi, I'm Pallavi!
I'm a security researcher and software developer. I recently completed my Master's in Computer Information Systems at Boston University with a concentration in cybersecurity, and I'm now preparing for the OSCP.
My interest in security started during my Bachelor's in Computer Applications at REVA University. In an ethical hacking course in my second year, I ran my first Nmap scan against a lab machine and watched the open ports appear one by one. It felt like looking at the blueprint of a building, with every door and window laid out, and I've been curious about how systems fail ever since.
Since then I've worked on both sides of that question. At FlixVerse, an early-stage Web3 startup, I owned security controls and monitoring across its systems and APIs, cutting exploitable endpoints by an estimated 60% and blocking around 95% of automated abuse traffic. At Sonata Software I ran vulnerability assessments on an enterprise Java platform and remediated every finding from its security review. On my own, I've built a SOC lab in Microsoft Sentinel, an enterprise IDS/IPS and firewall lab, and RuleRecoil, a platform that checks whether detections still fire when they should. In 2026 I also designed and attacked secure firmware for MITRE's embedded Capture the Flag competition. Alongside my studies, I managed student staff at one of BU's dining halls.
What I enjoy most is building something and then trying to break it. Application security, threat detection and secure system design are where I do my best work, and I'm looking for a role where I can focus on them full time.
